A Beary Interesting Day by Malek Rashad (Age: 10)

So, once upon a time, I went hiking. It was my first trip with my dad, so it would have had to been a while ago. I was probably around seven. We found a lake that was near us, and we saw it had lots of fish. So we decided to have a seat there and just hang out. About ten minutes later, a brown bear came up to us, and just sat there! He sat there with us for a while, and we didn't want to just leave in case the big bear would hunt us down. After about fifteen minutes of sitting there next to the bear, and he started to go along back to his family. My father and I were so relieved. After that we went to the car to go back home and talked about today's journey.
