Since earning a B.A. in English in 2017 from American Public University in West Virginia, Marlene Liotti has spent several months helping students online and tutoring. This Fall she is starting her last semester of her M.F.A. in Creative Writing (Bilingual Program) from the University of Texas El Paso and will graduate in Dec. 2020. She's not stopping there as she is already enrolled in a Doctorate program from University of Phoenix starting in January 2021. She will pursue an EdD in Educational Leadership with a concentration in Curriculum Development.
English and Writing have been Marlene's passion ever since her English teacher lit that fire in the ninth grade. She tested her writing wings with several different genres, but finally found creative peace in Mystery, Suspense, and Thriller.
Marlene is a mother of two boys, stepmom of two girls, a wife, a Mimi to a handsome little step-grandson, and fur-mom to a dog and two cats. She (and her two sisters) is a first generation American from a Cuban mother and was raised in beautiful South Florida. She lived in Alabama for 16 years where she met her second husband and has just returned Home to Florida where she feels she belongs. In her down time, whatever that means, she likes to read, crochet, craft, and of course write. Her family and friends are the light and love that keep her going.
Marlene's goal is to share her love for English, Reading, and Writing, in the hopes of igniting more fires of passion in our students.
