Deed of Paksenarrion

by: Elizabeth Moon

$840 for 28 weeks

This is an in-depth novel study of The Deed of Paksenarrion, by Elizabeth Moon. This is actually a three book series (The Sheepfarmer's Daughter, Divided Allegiance, and Oath of Gold) but it is also available as an omnibus edition entitled The Deed of Paksenarrion.  This book is a historical fantasy novel that follows the journey of a young woman who runs away from home to become a soldier, and as such travels the world, overcoming incredible challenges along the way. The reader is immersed into the world created by the author, and will learn with the characters as they encounter diverse difficulties.

Parental note: This novel does contain descriptions of battles, wars, and a very violent torture and rape scene. Please be aware of this before enrolling your child in the course. It is not appropriate for all students. If you have questions about the content mentioned, please message me and I will be happy to provide an excerpt of the scenes mentioned so that you may judge for yourself whether it is suitable for your student. This is a novel that I have personally read 50+ times in my life, and I truly believe it contains valuable life lessons that anyone can learn from, but I also understand the desire to shelter children from the bad things in this world.

Please purchase the books before the first class.
