Session 1: Alphabet

LESSON OBJECTIVES: 

Students will learn the letters of the Spanish alphabet using visual aids.

Students will learn the sound each letter makes.

HOMEWORK:

Review with repetition. Make your own flashcards with the phonetic pronunciation on the back. Use activity sheet from the lesson to help.

 

Session 2: Numbers

LESSON OBJECTIVES: 

Students will review the Spanish alphabet for retention.
Students will review previous homework to show knowledge of the lesson.
Students will learn the numbers from 1 to 20 in Spanish using visual aids.
Students will use their knowledge of the alphabet to pronounce the number.

HOMEWORK:

Repetition. Spell out each number (1 – 20) in Spanish, five times each, saying them out loud as you write.

 

Session 3: Colors

LESSON OBJECTIVES: 

Students will review the numbers in Spanish for retention.
Students will review previous homework to show knowledge of the lesson.
Students will learn several of the more common colors in Spanish using visual aids.
Students will use their knowledge of the alphabet to pronounce the colors.

HOMEWORK:

Repetition. Spell out each color in Spanish, five times each, saying them out loud as you write.

Session 4: Shapes
LESSON OBJECTIVES:

Students will review the colors in Spanish for retention.
Students will review previous homework to show knowledge of the lesson.
Students will learn several more common shapes in Spanish using visual aids.
Students will use their knowledge of the alphabet to pronounce the shapes.

HOMEWORK: Repetition. Spell out each shape in Spanish, five times each, saying them out loud as you write.

LESSON OBJECTIVES: 

Students will review the shapes in Spanish for retention.
Students will review previous homework to show knowledge of the lesson.
Students will learn their favorite (and my favorite) fruits in Spanish using visual aids.
Students will use their knowledge of the alphabet to pronounce the fruits.
  

HOMEWORK:

Repetition. 1) Spell out each fruit we learned in class in Spanish, five times each, saying them out loud as you write. 2) Describe three of your favorite fruits in Spanish using numbers, colors, and shapes

Students will learn some of their favorite animals (and mine) in Spanish using visual aids.
Students will use their knowledge of the alphabet to pronounce the animals

HOMEWORK:

Repetition. 1) Spell out each animal we learned in class in Spanish, five times each, saying them out loud as you write. 2) Describe three of your favorite animals in Spanish using colors and what fruit or vegetable you think they might like to eat.

Students will learn several articles of clothing in Spanish using visual aids.
Students will use their knowledge of the alphabet to pronounce the clothing.

HOMEWORK:

Repetition. 1) Spell out each article of clothing we learned in class in Spanish, five times each, saying them out loud as you write. 2) Describe three articles of clothing you wear most often in Spanish using colors, and shapes. 3) Just for fun, what would your pet or favorite animal wear? What color would it be?

Session 9: Family

LESSON OBJECTIVES: 

Students will review the articles of clothing in Spanish for retention.
Students will review previous homework to show knowledge of the lesson.
Students will learn several members of the family in Spanish using visual aids.
Students will use their knowledge of the alphabet to pronounce the members of the family

HOMEWORK:

Repetition. 1) Spell out each family member we learned in class in Spanish, five times each, saying them out loud as you write. 2) Describe the members of your family that live in your house with you, in Spanish, using clothes, shapes, and colors.

Session 10: Emotions

LESSON OBJECTIVES: 

Students will review family members in Spanish for retention.
Students will review previous homework to show knowledge of the lesson.
Students will learn several different emotions in Spanish using visual aids.
Students will use their knowledge of the alphabet to pronounce the emotions

HOMEWORK:

Session 11: Parts of the Body

LESSON OBJECTIVES:

Students will learn several parts of the body in Spanish using visual aids.
Students will use their knowledge of the alphabet to pronounce the parts of the body.

Session 12: Basic Phrases and Words

Students will learn several basic phrases and words used in simple conversation.
Students will use their knowledge of the alphabet to pronounce the basic phrases and words.

HOMEWORK:

Using all the words learned in your lessons, piece together five of your own phrases.

Session 13: Days of the Week

LESSON OBJECTIVES: 

Students will review the basic phrases and words in Spanish for retention.
Students will review previous homework to show knowledge of the lesson.
Students will learn the day of the week in Spanish.
Students will use their knowledge of the alphabet to pronounce the days of the week in Spanish

HOMEWORK:

Session 14: Months
