Becky Prince was diagnosed as being deaf at the age of six years. She was mainstreamed into regular classes throughout her school years. After high school, she attended Southwest Collegiate College for the Deaf in Big Springs, Texas and later transferred to Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas where she received a BS in Family Studies. During college she took ASL as an elective.
Becky has taught American Sign Language (ASL) to children, youth, and adults for the past twenty years. She has given ASL workshops, provided her services to local churches and individuals, and developed Sign Ministries for children and youth at various churches in Southeast Texas. She was recognized in the Beaumont Enterprise for her efforts.
Becky is a single mother with one adult child, Christian, who is in the Air Force currently stationed in Hawaii. He is the love of her life! Her hobbies are writing, traveling, and spending time with her son when he is home on leave.
